Pharmacy
The pharmacy provides comprehensive pharmaceutical services to all eligible beneficiaries. A pharmacist is available to provide medication counseling upon request.
Due to local policy, the pharmacy cannot accept phoned-in or faxed prescriptions. We do accept electronic prescriptions, including those for controlled drugs.
Activating Prescriptions
All new or renewed prescriptions must be activated by the patient before they will be filled by the pharmacy.
For electronic prescriptions, the pharmacy now offers a NEW virtual activation method called Q-Anywhere, which allows you to skip the line at the pharmacy. Simply text “Get in line” to 1-833-338-1731 and follow the prompts. You will receive text message updates on your prescription status and the system will let you know when it is ready for pickup. We understand your time is valuable and Q-Anywhere allows you to spend your time doing other things rather than wait in the pharmacy lobby.
Other ways to activate your prescriptions include pulling a ticket at the pharmacy kiosk or calling the phone line to speak with a pharmacy team member.
Hard-copy prescriptions need to be brought to the pharmacy or dropped off in the red Pharmacy Drop Box located outside the clinic entrance. Hard-copy prescriptions will be available for pick up the next duty day.
Refills
To refill a prescription, call the automated phone line at 800-982-4262 or 1-919-722-1998.
Select #1 to pick-up at the ScriptCenter; refills will be processed and available the next duty day. Please note that no refrigerated items or controlled substances can be picked up at the ScriptCenter.
Select #2 to pick-up at the pharmacy. Refills to be picked up at the pharmacy will be available in two duty days.
Pick-Up Locations
The Seymour Johnson Pharmacy offers two prescription pickup locations.
ScriptCenter is another step on the path of innovation and provides patients with a fast, easy, and convenient way to pick up both new and prescription refills. The ScriptCenter is located at the base exchange mall, allowing patients extended hours for prescription pickup.
Prescriptions may also be picked up at the pharmacy located inside the Thomas Koritz Clinic.
Prescription Transfers
To transfer a prescription to Seymour Johnson, simply bring your bottles to the pharmacy before running out of medication. We will contact your previous pharmacy to transfer your prescription. Please note, it may take up to 72 hours or longer to transfer prescriptions from overseas pharmacies.

Prescription Costs
While there are no costs for prescriptions here at Seymour Johnson, there are costs for filling prescriptions via home delivery or at network pharmacies for all non-active duty beneficiaries:
Active duty service members have a $0 copayment for covered drugs at any pharmacy.
TRICARE Formulary
The TRICARE Formulary is a list of generic and brand-name prescription drugs covered by TRICARE. You can search the
TRICARE Formulary to:
- See how much it costs and where you can get it filled
- See if your prescription needs prior authorization
- Look up the medical necessity criteria
- Get the prior authorization and medical necessity forms for your prescription
